Gol Gohar Sirjan Football Club (Persian: باشگاه فرهنگى ورزشى گلگهر سیرجان, Bashgah-e Futbal-e Gol Gohăr Sirjan) is an Iranian football club based in Sirjan, Iran. They currently compete in the Persian Gulf Pro League.
Gol Gohar Sirjan Football Club is the football team of the Gol Gohar Cultural Sports Club, which includes a successful basketball team that currently compete in the Iranian Basketball Super League. Gol Gohar is known for producing many academy players and promoting them to the first team.
History
Gol Gohar Football Club was established by the Gol Gohar company in Sirjan in 1988 and competed in local leagues. In 1997, Gol Gohar Sirjan Sports Club was formally established with many divisions including the football team.
In 2007, Gol Gohar was promoted to the Azadegan League for the first time. In the 2018–19 season, they won the league and were promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League.
Gol Gohar ägs av Gol Gohar Group, ett företag som verkar inom gruvdrift och industri. Klubbens hemmaarena är Imam Ali Stadium, som har en kapacitet på 8 000 åskådare.
Gol Gohar har aldrig vunnit någon större titel, men har nått kvartsfinal i Hazfi Cup fyra gånger. Klubben har också deltagit i AFC Champions League två gånger, första gången 2021 och andra gången 2023.
Gol Gohar är känt för sin starka defensiv och sin förmåga att göra mål på fasta situationer. Lagets mest framgångsrika spelare är anfallaren Shahab Zahedi, som har gjort över 50 mål för klubben.
Under säsongen 2022/23 tränas Gol Gohar av Amir قلعه نویی. I laget ingår också flera landslagsspelare, som försvararen Morteza Pouraliganji och mittfältaren Ali Karimi.
