Tobacco Road Football Club is an American soccer team based in Durham, North Carolina. The team plays in USL League Two, the fourth tier of the American soccer pyramid.

History

The club existed under various names as a highly successful amateur program for many years in the Triangle Adult Soccer League, including 2013 when the team took the North Carolina Amateur Championship. The club was re-branded as Tobacco Road FC under the leadership of Seth Kaplan and Cedric Burke in 2013. Tobacco Road FC played the 2016 season in the National Premier Soccer League, reaching the finals of the South Atlantic Conference Playoffs where they fell to the Atlanta Silverbacks (NPSL) in extra time. In November 2016 it was announced that Tobacco Road FC would play the 2017 season in the Premier Development League.

Tobacco Road är en amerikansk fotbollsförening baserad i Raleigh, North Carolina. Klubben grundades 2020 och spelar i USL Championship, den andra nivån i amerikansk fotboll.

Tobacco Road ägs av en grupp lokala affärsmän ledda av Steve Malik, ägare av North Carolina FC. Klubbens namn kommer från smeknamnet på regionen kring Durham, North Carolina, där tre framstående universitet ligger inom 16 kilometer från varandra: Duke University, North Carolina State University och University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Tobacco Roads hemmaarena är WakeMed Soccer Park i Cary, North Carolina. Arenan har en kapacitet på 10 000 personer och är också hemmaplan för North Carolina FC.

Klubbens färger är blått, rött och vitt, som är inspirerade av färgerna på de tre universiteten i Durham-regionen.

Tobacco Road har en ung trupp med en blandning av erfarna spelare och lovande unga talanger. Klubbens mål är att bli en toppklubb i USL Championship och utmana om titlar.
