MKS Puszcza Niepołomice (Polish pronunciation: [ˈpuʂt͡ʂa ɲɛpɔwɔˈmit͡sɛ]) is a professional Polish football club located in Niepołomice, Poland. It currently plays in the Ekstraklasa from 2023–24 after achieving promotion from I liga in 2022–23. The team's colors are yellow, white and green.
History
Puszcza Niepołomice was originally called Sports Club Niepołomianka. The team was established on the initiative of mayor Andrzej Wimer and Stanisław Ziemba, Władysław Iwański, Stanisław Brudnik and Adolf Engel in 1923.
The first president of KS Niepołomianka was Władysław Iwański. The then board also included the treasurer Stanisław Brudnik and the manager of the team - Stanisław Ziemba.
On 11 June 2023, a year in which Puszcza celebrated their 100th anniversary, they won the 2022–23 I liga play-off final and achieved promotion to Ekstraklasa for the first time in the club's history.
Puszcza Niepołomice har vunnit det polska mästerskapet en gång, 1934. Klubben har också vunnit polska cupen två gånger, 1953 och 1955.
På senare år har Puszcza Niepołomice spelat i den polska Ekstraklasa, den högsta divisionen i polsk fotboll. Klubben placerade 13:e i säsongen 2022/23.
Puszcza Niepołomice är känd för sin ungdomsakademi, som har producerat flera talangfulla spelare, bland annat Grzegorz Krychowiak och Mateusz Klich.
