Cotonsport

Coton Sport Football Club de Garoua, or simply Coton Sport, is a Cameroonian professional football club based in Garoua. They play their home games at the Stade Omnisport de Garoua, commonly known as the Roumde Adjia Stadium. The club is chaired by Sadou Fernand. The first team plays in MTN Elite One (Cameroonian first division) (since 1993) and competes in 2012 in the CAF Champions League. The club has the largest budget of a Cameroonian club (500 million CFA francs).

It has won sixteen Cameroon championships and six Cameroon cups. In addition, in continental competitions, the club reached the final of the CAF Cup in 2003 and the CAF Champions League in 2008 and the semi-finals of the same competition in 2013.

Cotonsport är ett kamerunskt fotbollslag baserat i Garoua. Laget spelar för närvarande i Elite One, den högsta divisionen i kamerunsk fotboll. Cotonsport är ett av de mest framgångsrika lagen i Kamerun, med ett rekord på 15 ligatitlar och 11 cuptitlar. Laget har också representerat Kamerun i afrikanska klubbturneringar, framför allt CAF Champions League, där de har nått finalen två gånger.

Cotonsport grundades 1986 och fick sitt namn efter bomullsindustrin i Garoua-regionen. Laget vann sin första ligatitel 1997 och har sedan dess dominerat kamerunsk fotboll. Cotonsport har också haft framgångar i afrikanska klubbturneringar, med två finalframträdanden i CAF Champions League 2003 och 2008.

Cotonsport är känt för sin offensiva spelstil och har producerat flera spelare som har gått vidare till att spela för större klubbar i Europa. Några av de mest anmärkningsvärda spelarna som har spelat för Cotonsport inkluderar Samuel Eto'o, Rigobert Song och Pierre Womé.
