SUNY Maritime är ett universitetsbasketlag som representerar State University of New York Maritime College i Throggs Neck, New York. Laget spelar i NCAA Division III som medlem av Skyline Conference. Från hösten 2016 till och med våren 2019 spelade Maritime i City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) och spelade in 11 raka säsonger med minst 20 segrar samt vann åtta ligamästerskap i rad. Under säsongen 2019-2020 gick Maritime med i Skyline Conference.

Privateers har gjort 17 NCAA Division III-turnering framträdanden, inklusive två Final Four-uppträdanden (1993, 2000). Laget vann NCAA-mästerskapet 2000. Privateers har också gjort ett uppträdande i Division II NCAA Men's Basketball Championship (1985). Maritime var medlem i Division II i 22 år (1963-1985) och fick sex NCAA-turneringar, inklusive en Final Four-framträdande 1970.

Tidigare SUNY Maritime-basketspelare inkluderar Kevin Houston, som spelade med New York Nets i NBA, TJ Tibbs, som spelade med Canton Charge i NBA G League, och Chris Ferguson, som spelade med Cincinnati Bearcats ursprungliga Big East-mästerskapslag.

Nuvarande huvudtränare, Staten Island-infödde Mike Hepburn, har tränat Privateers sedan 2013. Hepburn har lett Maritime till 15 vinnande säsonger, 10 ligamästerskap och 7 NCAA-turneringar.
