Wales - Championship North

The Cymru North is a regional football league in Wales, covering the northern half of the country. It has clubs with semi-professional status and together with the Cymru South, it forms the second tier of the Welsh football league system.

The first year of its operation was 2019–20 with the Football Association of Wales owning and administering the tier 2 leagues for the first time. These changes followed from a review of the Welsh Football Pyramid. Prior to 2019, the equivalent league was the Cymru Alliance, covering North and Central Wales.

**Wales - Championship North**

Wales Championship North är en fotbollstävling för herrlag i norra Wales. Ligan är uppdelad i två divisioner, Championship North och Championship North Reserve.

**Lag:**

Ligan består av 12 lag i Championship North och 10 lag i Championship North Reserve. Bland de mest framgångsrika lagen i ligan är:

* Airbus UK Broughton
* Bangor City
* Caernarfon Town
* Colwyn Bay
* Connah's Quay Nomads

**Format:**

Championship North spelas i ett dubbelmöte, där varje lag möter varandra två gånger under säsongen. De två bästa lagen i Championship North kvalificerar sig till play-off för att avgöra vinnaren av ligan.

Championship North Reserve spelas i ett enkelmöte, där varje lag möter varandra en gång under säsongen. Det bästa laget i Championship North Reserve kvalificerar sig till play-off för att möta det lag som förlorar i Championship North play-off.

Vinnarna av Championship North och Championship North Reserve får en pokal och befordras till Cymru Premier.
