Club Deportes Castro is a Chilean professional basketball team located in Castro, Chile. The team currently competes in the Liga Nacional de Básquetbol de Chile.
History
Deportes Castro was established in 2003. The team's first coach was Jose Fernandez, who led the team until 2010. The most notable performance were at the Liga Nacional 2011-2012, when they won the title.
Castro är ett chilenskt basketlag som spelar i den chilenska basketligan. Laget grundades 1929 och är baserat i Castro, Chiloé. Lagets hemmaarena är Gimnasio Fiscal de Castro. Castros färger är grönt och vitt.
Castro är ett av de mest framgångsrika lagen i chilensk basket och har vunnit ligan fem gånger. Laget har även vunnit Copa Chile en gång. Castros senaste ligatitel kom 2016.
I laget spelar flera chilenska landslagsspelare, bland annat Sebastián Herrera, Felipe Haase och Nicolás Carvacho.
Castros huvudtränare är Juan Manuel Córdoba.
